Saving Lives

Project Pet uses the money raised at our events to save lives! We offer money to rescue groups to pull pitties off the euthanasia list at Animal Care & Control. Here are just a few of the babies we have saved...

DOMINO FKA MANNY:

Here's a little bit about our experience rescuing Domino: Euphoric.

That's the word that describes who we felt when we pulled our first dog from the AC&C shelter in Manhattan. A couple of hours later, that sensation (x10) was what we saw exhibited by Domino, the dog we rescued. I visited the shelter on Sunday after getting a series of emails from the New Hope department. There I saw a dog that had zero chance of getting out of there alive unless we agreed to take him -- this dog, like so many others, deserved another chance. Thanks to Project Pet, our rescue organization received additional funds as a direct result of taking Domino out of the shelter. While those funds weren't the reason why we took this dog, they will give us a chance to rescue more... and soon. Dogs like Domino have so much going for them, except the mercy of the ticking clock.
