Ah, the perfect male does indeed exist! Witness the wonder of Nice, a gorgeous-on-the-outside,
goofball-on-the-inside, 3 year old black Australian Kelpie mix.
It’s impossible not to adore hanging out with this wonderful dog. He is curious about the world in an almost childlike way, seeing the enchantment in it all, but he is also very invested in making sure we are all safe in it. That means that while you sit, he trots off for a bit—always remaining in eyesight—to check out the surroundings, and then trots back to report all is well, wagging his tail and proffering kisses like a soldier returning from service.
Nice was surrendered to a high kill shelter when his owner became to ill to care for him, but his former owner did so right by Nice during their time together: Nice is leash trained, house trained, and He arrived leash trained, house trained, and knows his basic commands. He also made it known immediately that he was a seducer extraordinaire. Now living with a foster family, where he continues to charm all who meet him, Nice is patiently waiting to find his forever family. He is great with other dogs, especially female ones (he is devoted to a female with whom he now lives). He loves doing for walks but he is also happy to amuse himself inside, settling down at people's feet without coaxing. As one person who knows him well in his new life says, “He makes people near him who weren’t happy in the morning happy again.” What more could one possibly want in a companion than our dream boat?
